Company History
Based in Ingatestone, Essex, Grassform Plant Hire is a company with a difference. As well as supplying high quality amenity equipment, Grassform also supplies and installs grass reinforcement products, ground protection boards, land drainage systems and natural grass sports surfaces.
Founded in 2005 by company directors Mark and Simon Dunning, the company has installed solutions for a wide variety of clients. From wind turbine sites to music concerts, Grassform can approach each client’s needs with an experienced view and detailed industry knowledge that saves time, money and frustration.
Grassform Plant Hire has a wide variety of Plant & Machinery available for hire, including tractors from 30hp – 130hp, flail mowers, Koro, over seeders, verti-drain, de-compactors, stone buriers, trenchers, excavators, hydro seeders, levelling frames, drainage equipment and trailers, which are all delivered on Grassform’s own transport fleet.
Grassform is committed to investing in the highest quality equipment to provide their clients with a reliable and professional service which represents excellent value for money. The company is also proud to provide its customers with sustainable and environmentally friendly products that enhance and maintain the natural landscape. Their market leading products include GRB grids, which are made from recycled, industrial waste plastic that would normally go straight into a landfill site, thus making savings on many levels. They also sell Grass Reinforcement Mesh and Grass Mesh solutions such as Turfprotecta and Grassprotecta.
Grassform’s portfolio of clients is as wide as the services they provide, and includes major sporting bodies such as Sport England, the English Cricket Board and the Rugby Football Union as well as many architects, consultants and engineers. Grassform has also worked for many household names such as BBC, ITV, Pinewood Studios, Ransomes Jacobsen, West Ham United, and large public and private schools such as Brentwood School, Whitgift School and New Hall School.
Company Directors Mark and Simon Dunning have both worked in the plant hire and sports ground industries for over 25 years with numerous high profile clients both domestically and internationally on contracts in excess of £4m. They have extensive bulk earthworks experience in golf, football, rugby, polo and cricket along with primary and secondary land drainage systems, ground reinforcement and machine operation. All backed up by a well oiled administration system to ensure the company achieves its objectives.
Grassform is ISO 9002 accredited, Freight Transport Association approved and a member of the Construction Plant Hire Association.
Feedback from the club members has been excellent and has exceeded their expectations. With Grassform we planned the route to hug the fairways and the path tends to go through trees where possible to reduce the visual impact.
