Shelton Fast Flow Hopper

The Shelton Fast Flow Hopper now have very high daily outputs. Backfilling these trenches has always been a slow operation. The Shelton 6 tonne Fast Flow Hopper speeds up the backfilling of gravel and sand considerably with a greatly reduced labour input.

Gravel or sand is conveyed forward from the main hopper into a secondary hopper. Hoppers are interchangeable for gravel and sand. Two hydraulic rams raise and lower the hopper into and out of the trench. The secondary gravel hopper is interchangeable for different trench widths and has 150mm of lateral movement, minimising the risk of damage to the trench sides. The secondary sand hopper features rakers and presser wheels ensuring good consolidation of sand. 700mm Low ground pressure tyres ensure minimal damage to fine turf. Depth of fill is adjustable.
