Call Out Charges Policy
It is extremely difficult to estimate the cost of a site call until we are actually on site. We appreciate that you will not want to write an open ended cheque so as much as possible we have tried to address any concerns you may have here.
Some customers are very specific about their needs, know their equipment and know what they need done, others are not.
We appreciate this is not always possible or convenient for the customer and therefore we have tried to come up with a guideline of costs involved and why we charge them.
If the call out is based upon a customer generated fault the following charges for site visits will apply:
£150 callout for the first 4 hours (plus VAT) Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm
£30 per hour thereafter (plus VAT) and £45 (time and a half after 5pm)
Time starts when engineer leaves the workshop and ends when he leaves site. We charge this because even though there is little benefit to you, we are losing the use of a skilled man for the duration.
Travelling time is also charged at 50p per mile for the round trip and any tolls / parking / congestion charges are passed on also.
